This service allows you to make a vehicle inspection booking for a range of inspection types from clearing a defect, heavy vehicle inspection, seating inspection or to inspect a vehicle recorded as a repairable written off vehicle.
To book online you'll need:
- your driver’s licence or client number
- SA plate number or vehicle identification number (VIN).
You can choose to receive an SMS reminder for your booking.
Payments can be made by MasterCard or Visa debit and credit cards - view fees.
Bookings can also be made by phoning Service SA on 13 10 84.
Reschedule a booking
To reschedule a booking online you'll need your driver’s licence or client number and the booking number. A reference number will be issued to confirm the booking has been rescheduled.
If your booking is today or the next day it can't be rescheduled and will need to be cancelled.

Cancel a booking
To cancel a booking online you'll need your driver’s licence or client number.
If cancelling a booking on the day of an inspection or the day before, the booking fee will not be refunded.
