Apply for your learner's permit

You must be at least 16 years old and pass a learner's theory test before you can get your car learner's permit (L's).

There are 2 ways to do your test.

To find out what you need to do, choose from one of the following options.

Complete the myLs course online

Complete your learner's test online by doing the myLs course.
Complete your learner's test at Service SA

Book to do your learner's test in person at a Service SA centre.
