If your driver's licence, provisional licence or learner's permit card is damaged, lost or stolen, you can order a replacement.
There is a different process if your licence has been compromised through identity theft.
Replace online
You can replace your licence or permit online if you have a mySAGOV account.
With an account, you can also add your digital licence or permit to your phone by using the mySAGOV app.

What happens next
When you apply online, you can print out a receipt and your temporary licence or permit or have it sent to a nominated email address.
If you use the mySAGOV app, your digital licence or permit can be used until you receive your new licence or permit card.
You should receive your licence or permit card in the post within 3 weeks.
If you don't receive the licence or permit card within 3 weeks phone Service SA 13 10 84. If you don't contact Service SA within 30 days you may need to pay a replacement fee again.
Reasons you can't get a replacement online
To replace your licence or permit online you must have a mySAGOV account.
Online replacement isn't available if:
- your licence or permit has expired
- you are disqualified, suspended or otherwise prevented from holding or obtaining a licence or permit.
