Unemployment, low income, poor educational attainment, low skill levels, inadequate housing, bad health, violence - these things can all contribute to social exclusion.

SAMEAC’s primary functions are to increase awareness and understanding of the ethnic diversity of the South Australian community and the implications of that diversity, and advise and assist the Government and public authorities in all matters relating to multiculturalism and ethnic affairs.
