If you need to receive specialist medical treatment that is not available in your local area, the Patient Assistance Transport Scheme provides some financial reimbursement to eligible country patients with the cost of travel and accommodation.
If you require an escort to travel with you, they may also be eligible for reimbursement of some of their costs.
