About PropertyAssist

PropertyAssist provides up to date information about land and property in South Australia. This information is necessary to process certain property transactions - eg transferring ownership of a property, changing the name on a Certificate of Title.

Availability and system requirements

PropertyAssist is available most days from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
The system may be unavailable due to data processing and system updates:

after 6.00 pm Mondays and Wednesdays
for short periods on weekends and public holidays.

PropertyAssist works best with Internet Explorer 5 or above with cookies and JavaScript enabled.

What information is available

Information on PropertyAssist is purchased by members of the public by credit card. MasterCard and Visa are accepted. If you are an account customer see Information for account customers.

Information on PropertyAssist:

Register search - a copy of the certificate of title - sample Register search (PDF 42KB)
property and valuation information - eg ownership and plan parcel details, capital and site value, sales, constraints and building information - sample property and valuation information (PDF 268KB)
property title details - ownership and plan parcel details, constraints & sales - sample property title details (PDF 176KB)
sales details - displays last sale price for sales after 1985 -sample sales details (PDF 94KB)
survey plan image - a copy of the plan - sample survey plan image (PDF 101KB)
check search - shows any documents lodged over a title in last 90 days - sample check search (PDF 50KB)
SA water special meter reading - sample SA water special meter reading certificate (PDF 3,531KB).

You can access information by using:

property address
certificate of title
plan parcel details
valuation number.

These details are available from:

the Property Location Browser
a SA water, land tax, emergency services levy or council rates bill
PropertyAssist Services.

Copy of Certificate of Title

When ordering a certificate of title you need to check the plan or parcel type on the confirmation screen. Titles with a C or S plan number do not have the plan attached and you need to order the survey plan image. To do this tick both the register search and the survey plan image boxes.

To find out how much stamp duty is to be paid contact Revenue SA.

Log on to PropertyAssist

PropertyAssist – Log on

You can log on as a public user or as an account customer.

If you maintain a minimum monthly transaction level of $500 you can start a PropertyAssist account with Land Services Group (LSG) so that each transaction does not have to be individually processed.
