Paying directly from a Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs income

This system deducts payments automatically from your Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs income each week or fortnight. It is the preferred payment method for people receiving an income from Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Setting up direct payments

To set up payments directly from your income complete either a Centrelink easy pay deduction form (PDF 126KB) or a Veterans’ Affairs easy pay deduction form (PDF 98KB) and return it to Housing SA.  For an alternative version of these documents contact Housing SA.

It can take up to two weeks for any changes, including setting up and cancelling deductions, to take effect. A letter will be sent to let you know when these have been processed.

Changing payments

To change a deduction from Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs complete an easy pay modification form (PDF 105KB) and return it to Housing SA.

Cancelling payments

To cancel a deduction from Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs complete and return a cancellation of payment method form (PDF 986KB) and return it to Housing SA. For an alternative version of this document contact Housing SA.

All forms and fact sheet can be posted to you. Completed forms can be lodged at any Housing SA office or by post.

Salary sacrifice

Payments made through salary sacrifice should be organised through your employer. Housing SA details:
  • Name: South Australian Housing Trust
  • Bank: Westpac Banking Corporation, Adelaide Branch
  • BSB: 035-502

Quote your customer number which should be eight digits long. If it is less than eight digits, add enough zeros to the start of your customer number so that it's eight digits long. For example, if your customer number is 222 you would enter it as 00000222.
