The proposal

The development proposal for Encounter Bay Village Shopping Centre by Makris Corporation will be situated four kilometres south west of the existing Victor Harbor town centre.

This comprises:

retail floor space of 16,000 square metres, including a discount department store and supermarket
bulky goods retailing 20,000 square metres
associated car parking totalling 1,843 spaces
a mall environment with associated food court
cinemas with capacity seating for 700 people
community use building for a library or meeting rooms
recreational area comprising passive landscaped areas
residential development comprising 151 allotments at the north-eastern, western and south-western areas of the site.
