In country South Australia, children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities or acquired brain injury may be able to access both Novita Children’s Services and Disability Services.

Support for children with global developmental delay or intellectual disability
The Early Childhood Program provides support to families and carers of children from birth to school age who have intellectual disability or significant global developmental delay.

Support for children with autism or Asperger syndrome
Disability Services has workers in the country who support children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Contact your closest Disability Services office. Offices are located throughout country South Australia. For more information:

Support for children with sensory disability
Sensory Directions workers can help you to find and use a range of supports and activities for your child in country areas. Regular country outreach services are provided in all regional centres and more frequent visits can be arranged if needed. For more information phone 1800 738 855.
For more approved service providers see sensory disability. You may be able to book in by calling them directly (there may be fees) or they will advise you where to go for a referral.
